Ceramic Design participates in community events throughout the year ranging from local art exhibitions to
projects benefiting our neighborhood schools. To help improve our schools we have helped raise money for updated technology,
added art to the school grounds, and worked directly with students to create ceramic mosaics in art class. Below are some of the
projects in which we have been involved:
Arts Alive -
Coastal Rail Trail
We have been regular participants in Solana Beach's annual Arts Alive Event along the Coastal Rail Trail. Here are some
of our pieces that have been displayed.

Traveling Piece: - "The Berlin Wall"
This piece was recently displayed at the Front Porch Gallery in Carlsbad as part of an exhibit, "Perspectives: The Berlin Wall",
to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. We have incorporated chunks of the actual Berlin Wall into this piece and it is one of our larger pieces at
5.5 feet tall by 4 feet wide. (Read about the exhibit)
Solana Vista School - "Tiles for Technology" Fundraiser
We designed the pictures and chose the color pallet for the children to use on each tile, then installed the individual tiles into a colorful
mosaic for the courtyard of the school.
